My main research interests are: European integration (and regional integration more generally), monetary economics, international finance, central banking, financial markets and institutions, trade and development, and the history of economic thought.

I am a research associate at the Levy Economics Institute of Bard College, Annandale-on-Hudson, New York, a member of the Bretton Woods Committee, Washington, DC, and a member of the History of Economic Thought Committee of the Verein fuer Socialpolitik. I also worked as a researcher at the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).
