Richard
Kim NYU Minority Dissertation Fellow 2005-2007 |
Richard Kim is a Ph.D. candidate in American Studies at New York University writing his dissertation on masculinity, imperialism and 19th century travel writing. His research interests include sexuality and globalization, the AIDS epidemic, 19th century American literature and postcolonial studies. Kim graduated from Yale University with a degree in Film Studies (1997) and has taught at New York University and Hunter College, CUNY. Before coming to Skidmore, he was a journalist and editor based in New York City. His articles have appeared in The Nation, Salon, In These Times, The San Francisco Chronicle, Poz, Nerve and other publications.
