Margo Mensing, Assistant Professor of Art, earned her BA in English and MA in American History from the University of Michigan. She holds a Graduate Certificate in Art History/Theory/Criticism and her MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. A diversity of interests informs both her work and teaching, resulting in provocative installations, collaborations, and curatorial projects involving fiber arts and other mediums. Reviews of her work have appeared frequently in professional journals, including Fiberarts and Surface Design Journal, and she has authored essays and criticism for exhibition catalogs, periodicals and other publications. She teaches courses in Fiber Arts and Liberal Studies and coordinates the Department’s Visiting Artist Lecture Series.
