Visiting Assistant Professor

Liz HoweLiz Howe, Professor of Art, holds a B.S. Art Education from SUNY New Paltz, a M.S. Art Education from The College of St. Rose, Albany, NY and a MFA from The Rochester Institute of Technology/School for American Crafts, Rochester, NY. She has lectured at numerous national colleges and universities. She was a 2010 Artist-in-Residence at the Tainan National University of the Arts Graduate School in Taiwan, ROC and currently serves as a contributing writer/art reviewer for Ceramics Monthly magazine. Liz has shown in many solo and group exhibitions; most recently including exhibitions at The Pingtong Art Museum, Taiwan, The Torpedo Factory in Alexandria, VA, The New Hampshire Institute of Art, the Saratoga Arts Center Gallery in Saratoga Springs, NY, the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts, San Angelo, TX, the Ceramics Museum of L'Alcora, Spain and the Museu del Fang in Mallorca, Spain. Liz works with a full range of ceramic processes (both utilitarian and sculptural) though her primary focus investigates directly handled figurative clay and mixed media sculpture.
