Final Talk Guidelines

Just to formalize the final talk guidelines ......

1) Date - during scheduled final exam

2) Length 10-12 minutes (+ 3 min. for questions)

3) Required - a typed ABSTRACT of your talk - 1 page 12 point type maximum - to be handed in right before you speak.
I take my notes right on this sheet.

4) Evaluation
- counts 1/10 of final paper grade
- criteria
- clarity of presentation/ logical progression of presentation/ effectiveness of presentation (visuals?,
projectable outline, pace of talk, ability to handle questions usefully).

5) Available for visuals
- powerpoint (Mac or PC authored, will run on Harder 103 Mac projector)
- overhead projector (make your slides in bio dept. or via media services)
- front whiteboard
- you might consider a handout for each member of the group.
