As
Technical Assistant, Tracy works closely with the department chair(s) and
administrative assistant in job duties which include:
1) maintenance of aviaries, amphibian tanks, aquaria, and other animal culture
facilities;
2) coordination and maintenance
of the Skidmore Greenhouse, displays in the Dana Science Center atrium,
and plant culture facilities;
3) maintenance of the department's microscopy facilities and associated
photographic and digital capturing systems;
4) coordination of departmental activities and maintenance of repairs with
Skidmore's Facilities Services department;
5) coordination of maintenance of common departmental equipment including
centrifuges, autoclaves, laptop computers, deionization systems, growth
chambers, office equipment, and others;
6) coordination of chemical and biological safety protocols and files in
the department;
7) maintenance of the Biology Department web site; and
8) work with the departmental administrative assistant on miscellaneous
technical and related administrative duties.
