Welcome to Unit Ten.

This unit covers the formation of complex adjectives from Greek and Latin verbal roots and suffixes.

The following topics are addressed:

• the addition of adjective suffixes to Greek and Latin verbal roots,
• the usage of these suffixes, and
• the rules under which the new nouns enter English.

After reading Unit 10, students should be able to identify and to generate English adjectives from their Greek and Latin verbal components.
