Welcome to the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures webpage! In it you will find information on our majors and minors in French, German and Spanish as well as our minor in Italian and the opportunity to develop your own Self-Determined major in Italian Studies. Our programs in Chinese and Japanese are integral parts of the Asian Studies Program and along with the other language, literature and culture programs, are central to the delivery of the Intercultural component of  the all-College requirement, the International Affairs major and the Latin American Studies minor.  The department is also fully committed to study abroad, both through our well renowned programs in Paris, Madrid, Alcalá and now Beijing, and a rich selection of affiliated programs in Germany, Austria and Italy.
