SPANISH MAJOR

Nine courses or more totaling not less than 30 credits, none in translation, including:
   1) FS 208, 211, 212 (4 credits)
   2) At least one course from among FS 313, 314, 317 or 334 (3 credits)
   3) At least one course from among FS 319, 320, 321, or 330 (3 credits)
   4) FS 376 (3 credits)
   5) Three additional courses above 203 (9 credits)

TOTAL: 30 credits
Honors:   A GPA of 3.5 or better in the major; FS 371 or 372 (independent study in preparation for the thesis); and FS 374
Major GPA:   All Spanish courses above the 203 level.

SPANISH MINOR

The minor program consists of a minimum of five courses above FS203 totaling not less than eighteen credit hours, none in translation, including FS 208 , 211 , and 212 . At least three of the courses must be taken at Skidmore.

TOTAL: 18 credits

BUSINESS-SPANISH MAJOR

1) MB 107, 214, 224, 234, 235, 306, 338, and 349
2) EC 237*
3) Six courses in Spanish including FS 208, 211 or 212, 220, 301, and 376 and two additional courses above 203, none in translation

TOTAL:   50-51 credits
 * Instructor may waive prerequisites EC 103 & 104.
 Major GPA:   All Business courses and all Spanish courses above the 203 level.

ECONOMICS-SPANISH MAJOR

 1) Economics 103 and 104 (6-8 credits)
 2) Two courses from EC 235, 236, 237 (8 credits)
 3) Six additional 300-level Economics (6 credits)
 4) Six courses in Spanish above FS 203, none in translation, including FS 208, 211, 212, 376 (21-23 credits)

TOTAL: 41-45 credits
Additional Comments:   FS 301 is recommended.
Major GPA:   All Economics courses and all Spanish courses above the 203 level.

ENGLISH-SPANISH MAJOR

 1) EN 201 and 202 in sequence taken before 300-level English courses (8 credits)
 2) Two 300-level English courses chosen from "Advanced Courses in British and American Literature" or "Senior Tutorial Studies"* (6 credits)
 3) One additional 300-level English course* (3 credits)
 4) One additional English course above 100-level (3 credits)
 5) Six courses in Spanish above FS 203, none in translation, including FS 208, 211, 212, 376 (21-23 credits)

TOTAL:   41-43 credits
*Junior/Senior year; 2 must be taken in Senior year.
Major GPA:   All English courses above the 100 level and all Spanish courses above the 203 level.
