Academic
Festival offers Skidmore students an opportunity to display their
most distinguished work. We invite participants from all departments,
programs, and disciplines — especially seniors with capstone
projects. We welcome presentations in various formats: papers, posters,
panels, exhibitions, and performances. Use your imagination !
Our
theme this year is Celebrating Excellence. In keeping with this theme,
we seek proposals that showcase the rigor and excitement that students
have achieved in their studies. Faculty may nominate students who
have produced meritorious work, especially senior theses, research
projects, capstone experiences; students may propose a presentation
with faculty sponsorship. In either case, students must submit a proposal
to the Academic Festival Committee. We are looking for the best of
the best.
Sessions
will run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:10 p.m. on Wednesday, May 5 —
a full day’s celebration of academics! Applications are available
online and will be accepted through Friday,
April 2. Applicants will be notified in writing of their acceptance.
Good luck!
