Introduction to Dance History, Literature, and Repertory
I. Brown

Introduction to dance history of the Eastern and Western traditions. Using films, slides, videos, demonstrations, and discussion, the course introduces students to the literature and repertory of the great classical and modern dance forms. The Honors component of the course will undertake a systematic study of eight contemporary productions of Swan Lake.
