Sample Models
Experiments From The HUMAN-80 "Student's Manual"

Below are nineteen PDF-formatted student lab instructions/exercises from the HUMAN-80 "Student's Manual."

HUMAN-80 is/was a version of the HUMAN model designed to run on stand-alone desktop machines (PC's). Since the basic underlying physiological model is the same as in web-HUMAN, these exercises run identically in terms of their physiological response in both HUMAN-80 and in web-HUMAN.

While the physiology is identical, the user interface, of course, differs. Every effort has been made to update the user interface instructions by editing the pages and by annotating differences where they occur.

Basically, these may be used "as is" or serve to provide instructors/users with a starting point in creating their own simulation labs.

Note: All pages are edited scans from the "Student's Manual", HUMAN-80, "Microcomputer Version of A Mathematical Model of the Human Body in Health, Disease and During Treatment". Thomas G. Coleman and James E. Randall, April, 198l. They are modified for use with web-HUMAN. Student manual material is the property of Dr's. Coleman & Randall and may be reproduced for educational purposes only.

There follows a list of the 19 experiments in Dr. Randall's "Student's Manual" with links to printable PDF instructions for each experiment.
