The Annotated Variables List
How to creatively use HUMAN's variables

In order to simulate certain operations it is necessary to manipulate collections of several variables in coordination. Thus to effect an infusion, one must set its volume, delivery rate and if one wishes, its composition ( [Na], [K], [HCO3], [protein], etc. ).

This list contain's the model's variables and parameters grouped by function e.g.

- how to administer an infusion
- how to give a blood transfusion
- run an artificial organ
- administer Pharmacy drugs, etc.

Users will find this off-line list very useful in learning how to manipulate the model and learn more about its surprising capabilities.

Note that beginning with version 6.1, this same information has been available with the model itself via use of the
<How-Do-I ?> and Variables Help menus in the Help section of the main model screen.
