	Recommended use: Field work, remote DAT recording
	
2) AKG	-	C535EB (6)	
	o special recessed switch settings 	 
		1: "normal"
		2: Bass roll off filter 100Hz @ 12 dB/octave
		3: -14 dB attenuation
		4: -14 dB attenuation AND Bass roll off filter 500Hz @ 4db/octave
	Frequency Range: 20 - 20,000 Hz (without roll off switches)
	Polar Pattern: cardioid
	Recommended use: good general purpose studio mic

3) AKG	-	C414 EB (1)**
	* *This is a special older version of the famous C414 mic
	Frequency Range: 20 - 20,000 Hz
	* option:
	  Bass filter Switch: 75 Hz roll off @ 12 dB/octave or 150Hz @ 12 dB/octave
	* option: Attenuation Switch:  - 10 dB or -20 dB
	Polar Pattern: selectable on mic: Omni, Fig 8, Cardioid, hyper-cardioid
	Recommended use: NOT FOR DRUMS ! This is an expensive mic
		                great for strings,vocals & wind instruments, acoustic guitar

4) AKG	-	414 B-ULS (2)
	Frequency Range: 20 - 20,000Hz

	Recommended use: Kick drum (drum set)
	 note: large diaphragm makes it good for low drums 
		(natural "compression")

	Recommended use: Good sturdy general mic, drum sets,  live PA

				    probably not so great for cymbals

		10 dB boost at 100Hz if sound source closer than 1/4 inch (proximity effect)

9) Sennheiser	-	MD421 (2)
	  * special filter knob on end(S-M) {S for "speech" M for "music"}
	     adjustable roll off filter: 
	      "S" position: 500Hz roll off at 6 dB/octave
	     "M" position: no roll off
	Frequency Range:  30 - 17,000 Hz  (without roll off)
	Polar Pattern: Cardioid
	Recommended use: vocals, winds, brass, drums, guitars

10) Electro-Voice	-	RE20
	Frequency Range: 45 - 18,000 Hz
	* special filter switch: roll off 400 Hz - 100 Hz @ 4.5 dB/octave
	Polar Pattern: Cardioid
	Recommended use: voice (spoken), vocals, winds, brass, guitar amps

III     DIRECT BOXES  (3)  (also known as a "D.I. Box")

use: for direct input into mixing board from electric guitars
	* beware of mono compatibility problems with these devices
	 Connect DIRECT from your guitar into this box....and then connect
	   the box into a microphone input (snake) into mixing board.
	 (note: needs phantom power) Has a "ground lift" switch to avoid hum.
