| An exploration of the relationship between music and the various media through which we consume and discuss music. Among the questions we will consider are... |
- What does music mean?
- How can music shape our interpretations of other expressive media?
- What is the purpose of a review?
- What is the function of a reviewer?
- What role (if any) does censorship have in how we have access to music?
- Who owns music?
|
| In our exploration, we will be talking with Julianne Jordan (Music Soup), Nathan Barr (television and film composer), Jody Klein (CEO of ABKCO Music), Matthew Moore (Director, Business & Legal Affairs at Broadcast Music, Inc.), and Jayson Greene (Managing Editor, eMusic). Among the topics we will be reading about and discussing are semiotics, censorship, and copyright. |
