Two Student
Recitals are scheduled each semester. |
| 2. |
No more
than 80 minutes of actual playing time is allowed for the recital. |
| 3.
|
Students
should have their teacher submit a Recital Approval Form with the
teacher’s signature to the Artist-in-Residence who is in charge
of Student Recitals. |
| 4. |
Each student
is limited to 12 minutes of actual playing time. Exceptions may
be made if the total playing time of the recital is less than 80
minutes. |
| 5. |
A student
may perform on a Student Recital only once per semester, unless
the 80-minute limit has not been filled for the second recital. |
| 6. |
Recitals
with less than 30 minutes of music may be cancelled. |
| 7. |
Only students
currently studying applied music in the Music Department are eligible
to perform on a Student Recital. |
| 8. |
Rehearsals
should be scheduled during the daytime or in the evening after ensemble
rehearsals (orchestra, jazz ensemble, chorus, etc.). If it becomes
clear that there is an evening slot open when there will not be
any other events, that time may be used. |
| 9. |
To use the
Recital Hall after 8 P.M. on weekdays, or any time on the weekend,
you must submit a calendar reservation form which you can get in
the Music Department office, and which requires the signature of
your instructor. |

Check well
in advance of your rehearsal time with the Department Secretary
about a key to the piano. |
