Position in Sociology
Skidmore College invites applications for a tenure-track position
in sociology beginning September 2006. We seek a highly qualified
and accomplished teacher-scholar who will contribute to our
program’s core requirements and teach in her or his areas
of specialization; Skidmore also offers numerous opportunities
to contribute to interdisciplinary programs, including Asian
Studies, Environmental Studies, International Affairs, Latin
American Studies, Law and Society, and Women’s Studies.
Ph.D. strongly preferred. We expect to hire an assistant professor
but will consider exceptional candidates at higher ranks. Skidmore
