Welcome
International Students!
Right
now you must be wondering what life will be like
at Skidmore College. You can request the International
Student Resource Guide from Barbara Opitz in the
Office of the Dean of Studies; it includes some
important information to help you begin answering
some of your questions. Being international students
ourselves, we understand the difficulties and
frustrations you face having to adapt both to
college and a new country. As members of the International
Students' Union (ISU), we are committed to providing
you with information on life at Skidmore to make
your adjustment easier.
The
ISU provides support for international students
by international students. At Skidmore, "international
student" are considered to be both those students
who are not American citizens and those Americans
who live or have lived abroad. The ISU coordinates
and prepares the special International Students'
Orientation. Our organization's agenda, or course,
depends on your input, and we look forward to
meeting with you.
