Costs

Participants on Skidmore in Paris Program are charged a program fee comparable to staying on campus for a semester or year. In addition to the program fee, we suggest students budget an extra $2,000 to $3,000 for personal expenses.

The program fee covers:

  • Tuition, up to 18 credits per semester
  • Housing and meals (all breakfasts and six dinners per week with your French family)
  • Weekly lunch allowance
  • All program-sponsored excursions and activities in Paris and its surroundings
  • Monthly metro/bus pass for the 1-2 Paris zone (Students who travel outside of the 2 zone for academic purposes are also reimbursed for travel expenses.)
  • International medical insurance (required)
  • International Student Identity Card (required)
  • Orientations at Skidmore and in France
  • Administrative services of the Skidmore staff in Paris and Saratoga Springs
  • Computers and internet access

The program fee does not cover:

  • Round-trip airfare from the United States to Paris
  • One dinner per week
  • Housing and meals during Fall, Winter, and Spring breaks
  • Books and supplies
  • Certain course fees in studio art and theater
  • Personal expenses (including phone, home e-mail, printing, and photocopying charges)
