Celebrating
11 Years of Shakespeare Study |
"I have been associated
with BADA since it began organizing courses in British classical theatre for
students from overseas. In my opinion it offers the most wonderful opportunity
for students to take part in this country's great theatrical tradition."
-- Sir Derek
Jacobi - Patron of the British American Drama Academy

The Shakespeare Programme is an exciting
study-abroad program presented by the British American Drama Academy (BADA)
in association with Skidmore College,
and arranged with the Shakespeare Institute of the University of Birmingham,
and the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust. It affords a unique opportunity to study
Shakespeare in London and Stratford-upon-Avon during a semester-long program
carefully designed to link texts of his plays and productions drawn from the
full, magnificent range of British theatre. The program is designed for students
who seek a rigorous and challenging program in England based on the study of
Shakespeare, theatre and English literature that is of the highest academic
standard. It also offers students the opportunity for additional courses in
acting, directing, playwriting and literature, as well as direct exposure to
the world of William Shakespeare.
Since 1996, students from the following schools have participated in
The Shakespeare Programme:
