REGISTRATION INFORMATION
General Information:
Fee: The conference fee of $325 (U.S. dollars) includes program materials, refreshment breaks, Welcome Reception/BBQ, three lunches, and a banquet. Full payment must accompany your registration form.

Confirmation: Your registration will be confirmed by mail and will include a campus map, arrival information, and other general materials that should be helpful as you plan your visit to Skidmore College and Saratoga Springs.
Refund Policy: Full refunds will be processed for cancellations received on or before June 15. After June 15, refunds will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

Accommodations:
On Campus
A Bed & Breakfast option is available on campus. Housing will be in an air-conditioned residence hall which is fairly typical of a college campus. Both single and double (2 single beds) rooms are available with shared bathroom facilities. Bed linens, one blanket, one pillow, and two bath towels per person will be provided. Extra pillows and blankets are available for rental. The College dining service provides cafeteria meals, offering a choice of at least two or three entrees, including a vegetarian alternative. The lodging rate with breakfast is $55.00 per person, per night.
Off Campus
A block of rooms has been reserved at the Saratoga Downtowner Motel, a clean but unpretentious motel located in the heart of downtown Saratoga Springs, 1.1 miles from Skidmore College. There is an indoor heated swimming pool. Conference participants must make their own reservations at this motel by calling 1-888-480-6160 or 518-584-6160. A special conference rate of $85.00 per night, per room has been guaranteed.
Of course, there are many other accommodations in Saratoga Springs, including bed and breakfast establishments. For further information about off campus housing options, you may contact Kathy Denkenberger at the Saratoga Convention and Tourism Bureau by e-mailing kathyd@meetinsaratoga.org. Please include the type of accommodation you are seeking and whether you will have a car for transportation. Although e-mail is preferred, you may call Kathy if necessary at 518-584-1531.
On campus, conference participants can enjoy Skidmores tennis, squash and racquetball courts, as well as an Olympic-size swimming pool located in its Sports and Recreation Center. There are nature trails for hiking and joggers enjoy the winding campus roads.
In addition, the Spa State Park is about three miles from campus and includes two golf courses, outdoor swimming pools, picnic areas, several mineral springs, and many trails for hiking and biking. The historic Roosevelt and Lincoln bath houses are in the Park; mineral baths, massages and herbal wraps are available by appointment by calling 518-584-2011. The Park is also the site of the Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC), the summer home of the New York City Ballet and the Philadelphia Orchestra, and offers a wide range of entertainment including top rock and popular music groups. The town of Lake George is located on a beautiful lake in the Adirondack Mountains and attracts many tourists; it is about 30 minutes from Saratoga Springs. Saratoga Springs is located approximately 30 miles north of Albany and is most conveniently reached by automobile via the New York State Thruway and Exit 15 of the Adirondack Northway (I-87). The Greyhound and Adirondack Trailways bus lines as well as the Amtrak train offer daily service to and from New York City and Montreal, and several major airlines have regular flights to the Albany International Airport. Special rates for transportation to and from the Albany Airport and bus stations are available from Super Shuttle. For reservations call 1-800-736-8757 or 1-518-793-7800. The office is open Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Reservations must be made at least three days in advance and should include arrival and departure information and where you will be staying. Wherever possible, the company will coordinate passengers in groups.
Taxi service is also available as follows: From Albany Airport, train station and bus terminals: Yellow Cab (518-434-2222) is on site at both the airport and train station; from the bus terminals call Yellow Cab for service at the phone number listed above. From Skidmore College/Saratoga Springs: AAA Apple Cab (518-583-7577) offers service to the Albany Airport, train station and bus terminals. Please call the day before you are scheduled to leave so that they can coordinate departures.
