Financial Aid Checklist
The
first step in the Financial Aid Process is to complete the Free
Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The UWW Title
IV code for the completion of the FAFSA is E00598. After
submitting your application to “Federal Student Aid Programs"
you will receive a Student Aid Report (SAR). Review this report
and correct any errors. The UWW office will simultaneously receive
an electronic copy of your Student Aid Report. For faster processing,
it is suggested that you complete the FAFSA via the Internet at
the following site: www.fafsa.ed.gov.
After
you receive a packet from the financial aid office, while waiting
for your your FAFSA to process, please complete the additional
requirements listed on the packet (financial
aid checklist) and return them to the UWW office.
Before
enrolling in UWW, and after all of your financial aid paperwork
has been received, you must schedule a meeting with Lisa
Tuttle in order to discuss your financial aid eligibility.
This meeting may take place in the office or by phone. Prior
to your enrollment UWW must determine your financial aid eligibility.
As a financial aid student you will be responsible for a $350
payment upon enrolling which will be applied towards your initial
tuition.
New York Residents
New York State residents who file a FAFSA online and list "UWW"
and "full-time status" will automatically receive a
TAP application. Even if you plan on attending part-time, you
should complete the application in the event that you later decide
to attend full-time.
If
you are attending part-time, please call our office at (518) 580-5450
for an Aid for Part-Time Study Application. APTS applications
must be received by September 1st for the Fall term, and by January
2nd for the Spring term.
