UWW
Students typically receive an official ID card during the enrollment
process. The ID card may be good for use where student discounts
apply - hey, you're in college now!
If
you have access to the Skidmore campus, the Skidmore Card is much
more than a traditional ID. Not only does it identify you as a
member of the Skidmore community, it also allows you access to
the dining halls and other campus facilities, and can operate
on the basis of a declining balance account for various purchases
around campus.
You
may use it at the Skidmore Shop to buy books, supplies, or any
of the other items the shop carries. It may also be used at the
Spa, the Burgess Café, the Skidmore Post Office, and Health
Services, as well as in vending machines, laundry machines, and
library copiers. To make it easier to identify locations that
accept the Card, just look for the Skidmore Card logo.
Lost
Card Notification
If your Skidmore Card is lost or stolen, access the account
management Web section and follow directions to de-activate
your card. You should also contact the Card Office during normal
office hours to confirm the card loss, arrange for a replacement
card, and transfer your declining balance to the new card.
Lost
Card Replacement
Your first Skidmore Card is free of charge. You will be charged
a $20 fee for the first replacement card, and a $25 fee for each
subsequent replacement.
Protect
your Card
Please treat your Skidmore Card as you would a credit or ATM card.
Magnetic fields will destroy the information encoded on the Card;
bending, scratching, or punching holes in the Card may also render
it unreadable, so keep it in the carrier provided whenever possible.
