Skidmore College

Alumni Admission Contact Program

Thank you for your interest in Skidmore and for your interest in having an alumni interview. Unfortunately, we are no longer accepting alumni interview requests as the deadline was January 15, 2013. Interviews are not required for admission to Skidmore.

Skidmore's admissions office invites alumni to participate in the recruitment of a motivated, intelligent and diverse student body. An enthusiastic and loyal alumni network makes a real statement to prospective students and their families. Additionally, alumni participation can help provide more personal attention to more students. Please consider joining our efforts by becoming an Alumni Admissions Contact (AAC).

Skidmore's network of AACs includes over 500 alumni volunteers residing in 37 states and 16 foreign countries. We have discovered, however, that we need more volunteers in your area - we have more demand than our current AACs can accommodate. As an AAC, you could perform a variety of tasks for admissions -interview prospective students who are unable to travel to campus, attend college fairs in your area, write/call to congratulate accepted students, and/or host gatherings for new and current students from your area. Total volunteer time amounts to about 10 - 12 hours over the course of an entire year. While that may seem like a small commitment to you, it can help Skidmore tremendously.

I hope you'll consider becoming a part of the AAC network of volunteers.Skidmore needs the support of alumni like you to continue to recruit the students that make up the bright, talented, and friendly student body we have always known. Please email me to learn more about how you can be a part of the Skidmore College admissions process.

Sincerely,
Ken Dunbar
Associate Director of Admissions
