At Skidmore, the act of creation focuses on you: on how you create your own curriculum, your own experiences, your own art and science. At the curricular level, you’ll work with your faculty advisor and other mentors to select the courses, programs, and major (or majors) to best satisfy your interests and desires. And with over 3000 on-campus events every year – concerts, lectures, exhibits, performances, meetings, games, volunteer activities, and more – you create the richness and depth of experience you seek. If so inclined, you’ll create your own science through research collaboration with a faculty member and/or your own art through individual, ensemble, or large group projects and performances. Bottom line? You’re the creator and your life is the canvas.
