Shana ParkeHarrison, Professor
Shana received her BFA in Painting from William Woods College. At the University of New Mexico she pursued graduate studies in Dance History and Metalsmithing.
Since the mid 1990’s she has collaborated with Robert ParkeHarrison to create poetic,
constructed photographs and sculptures. Their works can be found in collections such
as the Worcester Art Museum, the SFMOMA, Mudam Luxembourg - MusÉe d’Art Moderne Grand-Duc
Jean, Galerie im Stadtmuseum of Jena, Germany, The Nelson Atkins Museum, The George
Eastman House International Museum of Photography and Film, the Whitney Museum of
American Art, and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Their work is represented
by Catherine Edelman Gallery in Chicago and Slete Gallery in Los Angeles. The ParkeHarrisons
have two monographs,
The Architect’s Brother and Counterpoint, both published by Twin Palms Publishers.
