Drawing

banner

Our drawing area creates a dynamic environment where students test their observation skills, challenge their conceptual ideas and investigate drawing materials while learning a complex visual language. Anchored in creative problem solving, courses focus on exploration of form, structure and spatial relationships, and support approaches to drawing as varied as rendering and mixed media installation. The immediacy of drawing initiates a strong visualization process that can inform students’ work across many areas of study.

Drawing studios are:

  • large and well lit – skylights provide natural light
  • organized flexible spaces
  • well-equipped and provide dedicated individual work spaces for intermediate and advanced level students.

Courses:

  • Visual Concepts (AR 131)
  • Drawing I (AR 133)
  • Drawing II (AR 223)
  • Drawing II: Figure (AR 224)
  • Drawing III (AR 326)
