Preface to the Web Edition
This version of the 2002–2003
Skidmore College Catalog was adapted from the print edition.
While this document contains minor corrections and revisions,
the print edition shall be considered the official
statement of College course offerings, fees, and policies.
Copies of the print edition are available from the Admissions,
College Relations, and Registrar's offices, and online
in PDF format.
NOTE: Not all courses are offered every year, so some hyperlinked
course numbers (as, for example, in requirements for majors
and course prerequisites) may take the visitor to a discipline's
main page rather than to a specific course.
Every effort has been made to ensure accuracy. Please bring
