After Skidmore
Internships

Internships are available both during the semester and the summer, for credit and non-credit, and with or without pay. Classics courses help students develop abilities in writing, webpage development and presentation, oral communication, analytical skills, and organization. Students may apply these skills in a variety of internship opportunities. For example, various museums in the area offer internships well suited to classics majors, e.g., the Hyde in Glens Falls, the Children's Museum at Saratoga, Saratoga County Historical Society, World Awareness Children's Museum in Glens Falls, and the Junior Museum in Troy. Other internships in government, education, business (media), and social services are applicable for classics majors. Skidmore's Career Development Center maintains up-to-date information on available internships. For specific information, contact Prof. Michael Arnush, Chair of the Classics Department.
