Celebrating Bob Dylan's 70th Birthday - A Benefit for Caffè Lena
Location: Dance Center - Dance Theater A host of regional musicians will play Dylan's best loved songs, and raise funds to support Caffè Lena on the occasion of the venue's 51st anniversary:Annie & Jon Rosen, Michael Eck & Phil Drum, Streetcorner Holler (Mark Tolstrup & Dale Haskell), Kyle Miller, Dyer Switch Band, Jo Henley, Tern Rounders, Jim Gaudet & The Railroad Boys and "Melick, Moody & McKrell Join us as we celebrate the 70th birthday of Caffè Lena's most famous alum, the unsurpassed songwriting legend Bob Dylan. Bob Dylan performed at Caffè Lena in 1960 and 1961, playing sets of traditional songs rather than the celebrated anthems he was soon to release. Dylan's presence at Caffè Lena is felt in the profound influence he has had on all the songwriters who followed him onto our stage, inspiring five decades of personal reflection and powerful poetry. |
