Time: 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM Location:
Tang Teaching Museum
Combing sculpture and live performance, Terry Adkins's installations pay tribute to the memories of under-recognized figures in our collective culture, including John Brown, John Coltrane, Ralph Ellison, Zora Neale Hurston, Bessie Smith, and Sojourner Truth. During performances with members of his Lone Wolf Recital Corps, Adkins activates his sculptural objects through improvisational playing and singing, spoken word, and recorded sound. |
