Creative thought matters. Seriously. Skidmore prepared me to ask the "big questions" and to always have a sense of wonder and excitement for learning new things. I have found on many occasions that my philosophy and religion coursework has prepared me for my professional life by teaching me how to listen to diverse opinions and experiences, interact with those who hold different values and goals from my own, and how to communicate in a tactful and courteous manner, even during periods of disagreement.
As the compliance and risk person on campus, I enjoy being continually challenged to find creative solutions that allow our students, faculty, and staff to further the organization's mission, vision, and values while simultaneously keeping them safe. Each day is a new adventure in this line of work!
I live close to the Dickinson campus with my husband, Matt, and daughter, Caroline, who is 4 years old. We just moved to a new house, and are in awe of the mountains that surround us. We enjoy camping, hiking, having campfires, and spending time together and with our extended families and friends. We recently became the parents of two boxer puppies "" Hugo and Winifred (nickname Winnie)!
