Medical Emergency Response Protocol for Laboratory Faculty, Staff and Students

• In the event of serious illness or emergency, or if you believe a student or staff member has had an overt chemical exposure, is having difficulty breathing or losing consciousness, contact Campus Safety at ext. 5566.
• If the student or staff member is capable of walking to Health Services, (Jonsson Hall, first floor), Skidmore College policy dictates that no student/staff member with unknown medical status is permitted to leave to go to Health Services unaccompanied.
• Contact Health Services at ext. 5550 within 10–15 minutes after the student/staff member has left, to ensure the student/staff member has arrived safely. Offer any additional information to the health provider (details of incident, MSDS)

Health Services hours of operation:  Monday–Friday 9 a.m.–noon, 1–5 p.m.; Sunday noon–5 p.m.
