“I was a student at Skidmore 50 years ago. Skidmore was a close-knit community of young women who were both nurtured and educated by our professors. The faculty was an eclectic group who met with us outside of class, often came to the dining hall for dinner and occasionally invited us into their homes. I was taught well here and have always appreciated the education I received at Skidmore. This is the first opportunity I’ve had to participate in Encore. Now, at the end of seven weeks, I am happy that clearly the current professors share the same warm, personable characteristics of my teachers 50 years ago.
