Fashion Playtes is a online custom clothing company for tween girls where girls can indulge in their love for fashion by creating garments they can actually have produced to wear. Fashion Playtes has an physical product element and virtual community element. Tween girls can customize their own apparel, brand it with their own label, and purchase it. They can share their creations with friends, family and engage with others on the site.
Girls go online to Fashionplaytes.com where they choose and customize a garment with their choice of coordinating pre-selected fabrics, trims, rhinestones, appliques and graphics. They can tag their garment with their own custom brand label, purchase the outfit online or save it to their collection for others to see or to purchase later - only purchasing an item when they really need it. The company recently announced its $1.5 million Series A backing led by New Atlantic Ventures and LaunchCapital.
