Membership Eligibility

Students with exceptionally promising academic and cocurricular records may be inducted into membership following their admission to Skidmore, or as a result of their exemplary work (overall GPA of 3.40, the equivalent of Dean's List) during their study at Skidmore. The Forum student must complete at least three honors

courses or seven course credits during the first three years of study, complete the citizenship requirement by the end of the junior year, and an approved capstone project during the senior year. A Forum student may drop out of the formal program at any point in time without jeopardizing his or her eligibility for other Skidmore academic prizes and honors. The Forum student is also expected to join actively in Forum-sponsored co-curricular events. Students who complete the entire program with distinction will graduate with the Honors Forum designation on their Skidmore transcript.
