Honors Forum Events

The main benefit for new Skidmore students is an enhanced sense of intellectual community, a sense of shared purpose among students who are unusually active in pursuing the life of the mind. It is a hallmark of Skidmore education that daily campus life should, wherever possible, support the more formal learning processes that students encounter in the classroom, studio, and lab. Thus the Honors Forum will sponsor a number of cocurricular events -- for example, receptions, special discussions, concerts, exhibits, and field trips -- to build an extended community of scholars. As with other aspects of the program, the students who are members of the Honors Forum will be integrated with their accomplished non-forum peers, not isolated from them.
