Brian Woods is an Academic Counselor in Student Academic Services (SAS), with responsibility
for the Peer Tutor Program. He has worked with the Opportunity Program (OP) during
the Summer Academic Institute. He received his B.A. in history from the University
of Pittsburgh. Brian earned his M.Ed., focusing on instruction and learning and the
relationship between education and health-related fitness, at the University of Pittsburgh.
Brian was also a member of Pitt's track & field team. Before coming to Skidmore,
he taught Social Studies, in Pittsburgh at The Academy, to at-risk students in the
juvenile justice system. His work is dedicated to supporting the need of all students
and he is thrilled to be a part of IGR.
