Anthropological Literature
Anthropological Literature is a bibliographic index to articles and essays on anthropology and archaeology, including art history, demography, economics, psychology, and religious studies. Updated quarterly, Anthropological Literature indexes articles two or more pages long in works published in English and other European languages from the 19th century to the present.

Once you have identified articles in Anthropological Literature, check the library's list of journals to see how you can access the journals that your articles come from. If the journal that you need is not availble at the Scribner Library, please order your article through Interlibrary Loan.

JSTOR
JSTOR is on online full-text archive of scholarly journal articles in a variety of subject areas including Anthropology and Asian Studies. Most journals in JSTOR are available back to their earliest issues (with some content going back to the 19th century), but coverage often ends between 1996 and 1999. JSTOR does not provide current journal issues. Project Muse, another online journal archive, offers access to current journal issues.

Bibliography of Asian Studies
The Bibliography of Asian Studies indexes western-language monographs, articles and book chapters on all parts of Asia published since 1971.

CountryWatch
CountryWatch provides maps, news articles and statistical, political, economic, social and environmental information on 192 countries throughout the world.

EHRAF Collection of Ethnography
EHRAF contains more than a quarter of a million pages of descriptive information on the cultures of the world. Use EHRAF to access full-text ethnographic material on cultures of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and other Asian countries.

Provides a survey of geography, climate and languages as well as detailed political, military, economic, social and cultural history (from ancient times to the mid-1990s) and a glossary.

Cambridge Encyclopedia of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, and the Maldives / editor, Francis Robinson. Cambridge; New York: Cambridge University Press, 1989.
Although some of the statistics are a bit dated, this encyclopedia provides thorough, informative, well-written essays.
