Acquisitions Policies & Procedures

New Book Requests

New book requests can be submitted for approval to the appropriate subject specialist using the online order form, email, or book request cards which are available in the Acquisitions Office, at the Circulation Desk, or at the Reference Desk.

Subscriptions and Standing Order Requests

Subscriptions and standing order requests must be submitted to the subject librarian and approved by the department chair, subject librarian and college librarian.

Rush Orders

Rush orders are items needed for immediate use for class purposes or research. These requests should be submitted to the subject librarian for approval.

Gifts

Potential gifts of books and other materials should be discussed with the appropriate subject librarian. Inclusion of these items will be at the discretion of the library. Those items not added to the collection will be sold in the library's annual book sale.
