How to Submit a Request
Search for books in Lucy2 by title or author and search for journals
by title or ISSN to see if Skidmore owns what you are requesting.
Use the link 'Finding
a Periodical in the Library' if you need help locationg the
journal. If we do own the correct title and/or volume, patrons may
then consult that issue for the article they wanted.
*If you need assistance searching with Lucy2, please
consult a librarian.
Electronic forms are available online just
by logging on to Illiad with your Skidmore id and password. Books may also be requested directly
from the WorldCat database within First
Search Online.
The Interlibrary Loan staff or Reference Librarian
will be glad to assist you or answer any questions you may have.
When filling out the request forms, please
provide as much information as you can. There are some required
fields so be sure to complete them. Please include the source
(WorldCat, PubMed, etc.) in case we need to verify any of the
data and always include your name and contact info in case
we have any questions about your request. The link on this
site entitled Deciphering
Citations can help you get the information needed to
place a request using various examples of citation forms.
There is no limit to the number of items
that you are allowed to request through Interlibrary Loan. If
you are turning in multiple requests, we do ask that you prioritize
them.
