The Admissions Process
The Skidmore MALS Program offers rolling admissions. Applicants may choose to attend
a required interview in person at the Skidmore College campus or through a video conference.
Candidates are notified of admissions decisions approximately one week after completing
the admissions interview.
JANUARY Admission: November 17. Applications completed by December 1 may receive consideration.
JULY Admission: May 25. Applications completed by June 1 may receive consideration.
Candidates accepted during Fall 2014 are encouraged to attend the Introductory Seminar January 2015 (Date: TBA), or they may defer enrollment until July 2015 (Date: TBA).
Candidates may request an application from the MALS office (firstname.lastname@example.org / 518-580-5480) or download a printable application. Candidates should request official transcripts from all the colleges or universities they have attended, and two letters of reference. These may be sent directly to the MALS office. They must also write an essay that discusses the territory the candidate proposes to explore in the Master’s Program.
