The Application Process

The Skidmore MALS Program offers rolling admissions. Applicants may choose to attend a required interview in person at the Skidmore College campus or through a video conference. Candidates are notified of admissions decisions approximately two weeks after completing the admissions interview.

Application Deadlines:

JANUARY Admission: December 1.
JULY Admission: May 15. Applications completed by June 1 may receive consideration.

Candidates accepted during Fall 2014 are encouraged to attend the Introductory Seminar January 2015, or they may defer enrollment until July 2015.

The Application

Candidates may request an application from the MALS office (mals@skidmore.edu / 518-580-5480) or download a printable application. Candidates should request official transcripts from all the colleges or universities they have attended, and two letters of reference. These must be sent directly to the MALS office. Candidates must also write an essay that discusses the territory the candidate proposes to explore in the Master’s Program.
