This building serves as the focal point for most athletic activities, including exercise science courses, intramural and intercollegiate sports, and individual recreation. The building itself includes gymnasiums, racquetball and handball courts, weight rooms, swimming and diving pools, and the associated locker rooms, showers and support facilities. It also includes faculty offices, classrooms, and research space for the Exercise Science department.

Surrounding the Sports and Recreation Center is an all-weather field for soccer, field hockey, and lacrosse; a track; tennis courts; and grass fields for intramural sports.
