Vocal Chamber Ensemble
The Vocal Chamber Ensemble is an auditioned ensemble composed of student singers drawn from the Skidmore Chorus. This select ensemble performs a variety of challenging repertoire from all time periods. VCE will be on hiatus for the Spring 2023 semester. When it returns, auditions may be scheduled by appointment. The audition consists of vocalizing, sight-singing, and learning a short musical excerpt. Once a member of the ensemble, students are invited to participate all subsequent semesters. VCE provides high-level musicians with challenging repertoire, opportunities for off-campus performances, solo vocal opportunities, and leadership roles in the music department.
