Orchestra concert to feature Hollywood's best music

Holland conducts the Skidmore College Orchestra

The Skidmore College Orchestra will present "Hollywood's Greatest Film Scores" in a concert scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28. The concert will be in the Arthur Zankel Music Center's Helen Filene Ladd Concert Hall. 

This family-friendly concert for music fans of all ages will feature music by an 80+piece orchestra to films broadcast on the big screen. Selections will include Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean, Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones and James Bond hits,Gone with the Wind, The Bridge Over the River Kwai, and more.

Anthony Holland, associate professor of music, directs the Skidmore Orchestra, which consists of students and community members. Tickets for this event are $8 for adults, $5 for seniors and Skidmore faculty/staff/retirees/alumni, and free for students and children.
