Women’s soccer suffered a 1-0 setback against Farmingdale State in its home opener. With the team trailing 1-0 midway through the first half, Thoroughbreds (0-3) goalkeeper Madison Plummer ’17 came up big, denying a Rams forward on a breakaway. Lauren Alexander ’15 had the team’s best chance of the game, but her headed attempt a goal was thwarted by a quick reaction from the Farmingdale State goalkeeper.
