December 18, 2015

From stage to White House to racetrack, creative alumni and students were on view and in demand in 2015. For example:

  • Melvis Langyintuo '12 was No. 3 among …Business Insider's top basketball players on Wall Street. Plus he made a video with Saturday Night Live …favorite Keenan Thompson. There's no holding Melvis back.

  • You may know "Letters to President Obama," the Tumblr page of poignant messages to the president from the American people, but you can’t know it the way Addison Bennett '16 does. Landing a coveted summer internship at the White House, he pored over those messages to provide content for speeches, stories, and policies.

  • Writer and professor Neela Vaswani '96 took a Grammy for best children's album, the audio version of I Am Malala: How One Girl Stood Up for Education and Changed the World, which she narrated. Watch a video interview below:

  • At Saratoga’s famed Travers Stakes, …Keen Ice upset Triple Crown winner American Pharoah. Ice’s owners include Ray Bryan '94 and Linda Crawford '73—just coincidence that he sports green and yellow silks
