Top-50 rating
Skidmore again fared well in the latest U.S. News and World Report college rankings, coming in 41st to stay well within the top 50. The result was no surprise, especially given Skidmore’s recent Forbes rating as one of America’s “best value” colleges, its Princeton Review nod as best regional college and its New York Times notice for “doing the most for the American dream.” [all Skidmore rankings]
“Skidmore College is a highly ranked, leading liberal arts college with first-rate academics,” said President Philip Glotzbach. “There are many reasons to be proud”—most notably right now, the new first-year class. Chosen from the largest applicant pool ever for an acceptance rate of just 25%, it includes 25% domestic students of color and represents 32 states and 45 other countries.
