Skidmore’s homepage highlights a lot of stories over the course of a year—about research, campus life, alumni, you name it.
In 2017, the top pageviews went to several stories aimed at prospective students. Nine reasons to love Skidmore, from faculty to food, won the most readership, followed by news of the college’s record-breaking 10,000-plus applications and then an overview, with video and photos, of the incoming Class of 2021.
Other homepage favorites during the year featured celebrities on campus, up-and-coming alumni, and more:
Oprah Winfrey and two other big names announced as Commencement speakers
The public launch of Creating Our Future: The Campaign for Skidmore, with a goal of raising $200 million by 2020
