Jefferies Adds McDermott, 18-Year Morgan Stanley Muni Bond Vet

Jefferies Group LLC hired J.R. McDermott, Morgan Stanley’s former head of short-term municipal bond underwriting and trading and an 18-year veteran of the firm.
McDermott was hired as a managing director this week, according to his LinkedIn Corp. page. He previously led Morgan Stanley’s secondary trading and risk desks. He left Morgan Stanley in 2015.
